This in-person event will take place on Tuesday, April 16 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM, at the Lloyd EcoDistrict’s newest event venue, AVENUE PORTLAND (and one of Lloyd EcoDistrict’s Earth Day Business Partners).

Get ready for an evening filled with recognition, inspiration, and networking opportunities as we raise funds to continue developing creative solutions to the challenges that our urban communities face.

We will honor individuals and community partners who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, paving the way for others to thrive. They are rolling up their sleeves and exploring new approaches to some of the most difficult issues we face in creating truly sustainable, equitable, and resilient communities.

During the event, you will have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights from influential leaders in Lloyd and beyond. It’s an excellent opportunity to expand your network and be inspired by the achievements of others.

Nominate Awards Winners

Are you a business, organization, project, or individual doing creative and groundbreaking work in the Lloyd area or beyond? Do you know one that is? If yes, Lloyd EcoDistrict invites you to submit a nomination!

Model the Way Awards recognize those amazing individuals, businesses, projects, and organizations that are actively engaged in the community and acting as leaders in equity, resilience, and climate protection at the local level. They are rolling up their sleeves and exploring new approaches to some of the most difficult issues we face in creating truly sustainable, equitable, and resilient communities here in the Portland area.

This year we have four award categories:

• Bedrock: A dependable and solid leader in the Lloyd community whose work is purposeful, inclusive, and provides foundational support for initiatives that emphasize equity, resilience, and climate protection.
• Collaborator: A collaborative problem-solver with a demonstrated commitment to supporting sustainable, creative, and equitable partnerships to address the complex challenges facing the Lloyd community.
• Game Changer: who is a thought leader in sustainability projects and bringing community partners together. They lead the charge on new approaches and inspire people around them to also rise to the challenges around them.
• Daredevil: A driver of new ways to solve the complex challenges that our community faces. The daredevil is not afraid to take risks on bold, new ideas. Open to disrupting the status quo and exploring new ways to do so.

Nominations will be accepted until March 6, 2024 at 11:59 PM. If you’re nominating someone else, you’ll receive a free Mike Bennett yard sign. Winners will be announced at the Model the Way reception on April 16, 2024 and on the Lloyd EcoDistrict website, social media platforms, and throughout our network.
